Allie is an absolutely gorgeous, 7 yr old, Maltese. Allie is cam, quiet, and well behaved. She is somewhat reserved upon initial introduction but once acclimated she warms up quickly and wants nothing more than to be in your lap 24/7 and to never leave your side. She loves going "bye'bye" and rides very well in the car. She does well on a leash and is good for grooming. Allie is healthy and well cared for. She could stand to lose a pound or two but we prefer seeing that, as opposed to them not fed well. Allie gets along with other dogs but is not really one to "play" with them. She would do very well being in a single dog home. We prefer a quiet home without children or child visitors as that is the life Allie had prior to being given up and we feel that any deviation from that might make her nervous. Allie would love a home with a woman who is retired or works from home. An older single, divorced or widowed woman who wants a best friend and new lap baby with lots of love and attention to give her would be ideal. Allie is in good health, has been spayed, brought UTD on shots, is heart worm neg, on preventatives and has just been groomed. She is being fostered in Maryville, TN. Approved application, adoption contract and 285.00 adoption fee apply. To apply to adopt, please fill out our Adoption Application. Submission instructions are at the bottom of the application. Bosco is a 12 month old, cream and chocolate, Chihuahua. He is an adorable little boy that is very active, loves to play with toys and especially tennis balls. He loves for you to throw them so that he can retrieve them for you. He is quite agile and can jump very high. He'd be a great candidate for agility. He requires lots of exercise and stimulation. He is an extremely active, fun loving and confident little boy, Bosco loves other dogs, attention and being in your lap for quiet time. He actually is very well behaved considering his energy level and age. Bosco is also house trained. He likes to ride in the car but wants to sit on your lap while driving so he would need a restraining seat(which is the safest way for any dog to travel). He loves to run, explore and appreciate every little thing life has to offer. He is affectionate and gives kisses. He likes to eat and loves his chewies. Bosco needs an active home, that wants an energetic little boy that they want to share many activities with.. Bosco is very healthy, neutered, UTD on shots, heart worm/fecal negative and on preventatives. Bosco is being fostered near Knoxville, TN. Approved application and 175.00 adoption fee apply. My name is Bosco. I was rescued from Greenville, SC a couple of months ago. I just turned 1 yr old and I am a very good boy. I am a Chihuahua and weigh approximately 13 lbs. I am very well house trained. I love playing with toys, I'm healthy, active and very cute if I do say so myself! I am chocolate and white with a chocolate nose. I have gotten quite spoiled in my foster home and have lots of toys, chewees and someone who will play "ball" with me...I LOVE tennis balls! I am very social and outgoing, I enjoy life, playing and spending lots of quality time with my "person(s). Won't someone please apply to adopt me so I can get a "furever home" of my own? You can email my rescue friends at email@example.com if you are interested in being my new mommy and/or daddy. I promise I will love you and thank you every day for the rest of my life. We will have SO much fun together!
Lina is an absolutely adorable, approximately 10 yr. old Shih Tzu. She was rescued from a kill shelter shortly before she was to be euthanised. Lina has lived a horribly neglectful life. When rescued she had a very bad skin infection, her eyes were "crusted over" closed and she was very weak and without any "life" left inside of her. Lina was hospitalized at the vet clinic for over 2 weeks where she received great care. She got medication for her skin, she began drops for her eyes and was being given good food. After a week, she began to feel more energetic and there was "life" in her eyes. She started running in the yard at the vet clinic, rolling in the grass and having that "carefree, joyful abandon" :) Once she felt better she has a blood panel done, which came back good, so she was scheduled for surgery to remove a mammary tumor and have a "dental". Lina has recovered and feels and looks so much better. While she is doing so much better now, she still should be considered a "special needs" dog. She has cataracts, so her sight is somewhat limited as well as "dry eye" and will need regular eye drops. While she can see and gets along very well, and can hear, she does not hear as well as younger dogs. She has all of her teeth and eats very well, however her teeth are little nubs" in places. All of these things are simply the results of an extremely neglectful life and because of her age. We believe it is mostly due to her neglectful care, as her senior blood panel came back very good and she handled the anesthesia very well. Hopefully(although one never knows) with good food and care, she will have several years left to live and enjoy a nice life...finally. Her skin has improved greatly and her hair is starting to grow back in. Her skin condition was just a result of living in filth, pure neglect and being infested with fleas. Lina is an exceptionally sweet little girl, with a joyful, endearing, gentle, beautiful disposition. She loves her "bed" and sleeping in it. She has a very good appetite and loves to eat. We prefer a home that will give her some "home cooked" food(ie: lean chicken, fish, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, scrambled eggs) to supplement a very good, quality dry dog food, such as Blue Buffalo, grain free, salmon and potato. Good food is imperative to her continued well being. Lina loves rolling in the grass and being outside with you for some "fun time". She gets along very well with other dogs and if let out often, she is very well house trained(at least in our foster home where she is taken out every 4 hours). We prefer a home with an older person or couple who is retired or where someone is home most of the time. While Lina is good with everyone, we prefer a home for her without children. Lina has been spayed, had a mammary tumor removed, her teeth cleaned, a complete senior blood panel done, brought UTD on shots, is heart worm/fecal negative, has had an eye smear test to determine "dry eye", been treated for a skin infection and is now on preventatives. Lina is being fostered in Knoxville, TN. Her adoption fee is 175.00. To apply to adopt, please fill out our Adoption Application. Submission instructions are at the bottom of the application. Please email the completed application to: PreciousPawsADR@aol.com Applicants without children only, please.
Magnolia is a 5 yr. old, 50 lb., chocolate/white with chocolate nose,German Shorthaired Pointer, Boykin Spaniel mix. Magnolia(Maggie for short) is a real southern belle with nice manners and an endearing disposition. She rides very well in the car, is sweet, well behaved and house/leash trained. Maggie is a bit nervous and timid in new situations simply due to a neglectful past, but quickly warms up once she becomes comfortable. She is affectionate, active, yet also happy relaxing next to you and has a relatively laid back demeanor. Maggie is gorgeous with a regal appearance. She will make someone an absolutely wonderful pet. Maggie is healthy, spayed, UTD on shots, heart worm/fecal negative and on preventatives. She is being fostered in Charleston, SC. Approved application and 175.00 adoption fee apply. To apply to adopt, please fill out our Adoption Application. Submission instructions are at the bottom of the application. Amberly is an approximately 8-10 yr old, 6.6 lb. Japanese Chin. She is the sweetest, most adorable little girl. She only has one eye, her remaining eye has glaucoma and she is on eye drops. If pressure should build in the future and cannot be controlled, it may have to be removed. The remaining eye does have a cataract and her sight is definitely very limited. She is considered "special needs" due to her lack of vision and some hearing loss. Amberly loves being held and is like a little "baby". She is an absolute DOLL. Gentle, quiet, incredibly endearing disposition with a calm and loving demeanor. Amberly needs an adopter who is home much of the time, that will pamper her, spoil her and treat her like the tiny princess she is. A home without any children or grandchildren and without large and/or active dogs that might accidentally hurt this tiny, delicate little girl is a must. She is relatively well house trained and loves laying in her bed, but mostly on your lap. A person who wants an angel in their lap or on the couch next to them much of the time is a requirement :) Amberly will need to remain on eye drops and have her remaining eye monitored. To our knowledge she has no other serious health issues. As you can see, she is the most adorable little angel...EVER, with the most precious "smile". Amberly is being fostered in Maryville, TN. She has been spayed, brought UTD on shots, is HW/fecal neg, had her eye evaluated and pressure checked, is on eye drops for glaucoma and on preventatives. Approved application and 175.00 adoption fee apply. To apply to adopt, please fill out our Adoption Application. Submission instructions are at the bottom of the application. Update 5/19: Amberly had an extensive examination and her remaining eye with glaucoma was tested. Her eye pressure was at 15, right where it should be! :) The vet said she has sight in that eye, the glaucoma was not severe and that her eye looked really good considering. He prescribed her a year's worth of eye drops and said she did not need to come back for re-testing of the eye unless specific changes occurred, which he did not expect. She does have a grade 4 heart murmur but did not need medication for it as there were no apparent problems requiring such at this time. Her age had been listed as 8, however we thought she might be older, so we asked his opinion. He said 8 was a good estimate, however that is just an educated assessment as there is no way of knowing for certain. He said that she was in relatively good health.

Meilani-MiShu was rescued from a kill shelter on the 4th of July weekend. She is 8-10 yrs old(vet estimation) and weighs 18 lbs. She is small in stature, yet sturdy in build. She loves giving kisses and being by your side. She has a VERY small touch of "pekitude"........just enough so that if your eyes were closed you'd still know she was a "precious peekoneezer". However there is not an aggressive bone in her sturdy little body towards anyone. .She is a great companion for her "person" and loves being near you. Meilani-MiShu is not very active and does not really "play". We think she'd do wonderful as a companion for another small dog her age or older, or equally happy being the only pet in the house. She is well behaved, quiet, has a pleasing, happy disposition and is no trouble at all...just a complete joy. She is quite the little character. If you love the Pekingese breed, you will adore this precious one. She is in good health, however she does have major limitations in sight as well as some difficulty hearing and arthritis. She seems to see enough to go wherever she'd like and never "runs into anything" once she is used to her environment. She even navigates steps and stairs relatively well, however we don't recommend her being around high steps, deck steps are fine. Meilani does not have dry eye and her skin/ears are good and not problematic. Meilani is puppy pad trained and will also go potty outside and does very well on a leash. She does get hot easily due to her breed and she would not do well on long walks or in homes that are not cooled adequately or excessively heated. She has been examined, spayed, brought UTD on shots, tested for heart worms, Lyme disease, and/E.Canis(all NEG), groomed and is on preventatives.Applicants without children only, please. 150.00 adoption fee. She is being fostered in Knoxville, TN.

She is leash and house trained. She rides well in the car and in your arms and lap are her most favorite places to be. She is calm with a good nature however she does not like children.
